Five on Friday

Hey, it's Friday - cheers! Joining in for Five on Friday.

one.

I like to take a day off during the week one day in the Spring to take a little day trip to Charleston for the day with Josh. We took our day last Wednesday and had a gorgeous day in the holy city. The weather was perfect and we strolled through the battery, wandered down a few side streets admiring the beautiful homes, sat a spell in Battery Park, had a delicious lunch at Cruller Cafe and finished the day popping in the stores along King Street.

two.

Murph the smurf has been battling skin issues veeeeeery badly recently, and after trying everything we possibly could, a trip to the vet was in order. He went two weeks and had a follow up today and great news - the sweet baby is doing much, much better. The scratching is gone, his fur is (finally!) coming back, he's acting like his old self again and soon enough he'll be nice and fluffy and dandruff free soon :)

three.
We're so far behind on this, but Josh and I are watching Parks & Rec on Netflix due to a coworkers recommendation and oh my goodness - love.this.show.

four.

Last Saturday I completed a 6.5 trail run with the team from work and I surprised myself but running all 6.5 miles and had the best time doing it! I ran track in high school but was definitely not all that great, and I've only run one technical race since my track days, and that was a 5k back in college. It felt so good to be out running, on a beautiful trail with no emails, text messages or phone calls to bother with.

five.
We're headed to Charleston again this weekend to take Murph to the beach - can't wait to see that little fella and his sandy paws :)

  2. Great food and great people with awesome styling and interior. Also great event venues Chicago for cheap happy hour drinks. However, the downstairs beer selection is about as standard as it can be while upstairs can be a bit more creative.
