Summer always seem to pass so quickly for me but each year we always pack a few fun adventures in, while trying to do our best to survive in the sweltering South Carolina heat and humidity.
This summer we went to Hilton Head for an extended weekend stay over my birthday. We stayed on a boat which was quite the adventure to say the least, and we took the best sunset dinner cruise for my birthday. It was truly such a fun evening and I could have stayed on that boat all night. While it was hot, watching the sunset from the middle of the ocean with my husband created such a sweet memory. It was definitely a birthday to remember and I can't wait to head back to HHI next summer and book the cruise again! I blogged about our trip here.
We took Murphy on plenty walks at the park, although those will really ramp up here soon when the weather starts to cool down and he can handle being out a bit longer. We also did a lot of work on our yard this summer. We built a patio, did tons of landscaping and general yard maintenance, laid sod, and sweated to death all the while.
Other than that, we had a fairly laid back summer. We welcomed a sweet baby boy to our friend group, celebrated 4th of July with a party at our house, and really just took it easy. Oh and I can't forget, we did squeeze in one concert this summer; we went to see Keith Urban in Charlotte. PSA: I love concerts and would go to know everyday if I could!
