A Little Pumpkin: Mackenzie's Baby Shower

My dear friend Mackenzie is due with her first child, a little girl, on Halloween! Recently a few of us threw her a pumpkin themed baby shower to celebrate Emery Kate. Mackenzie and I have journey through many stages of life together and I was over the moon to be able to celebrate her as she enters into motherhood. Mackenzie is such a light in everyone's life and I know that Emery Kate will have an awesome role model to look up to in her mama.

I think it's probably obvious why we decided to do a pumpkin theme :) The colors we chose for the shower are the same colors that Mackenzie is using for the nursery. I can't wait to see her nursery once it's done!

Per usual, we had the shower from ten until noon so we did a variety of brunch items for the food. Mini muffins, macaroons, a yogurt bar, cheese and fruit trays, cucumber sandwiches and pigs in a blanket adorned the food table. We kept it simple for drinks and did pink lemonade and lemon water. We used white pumpkins to decorate and tied the prettiest ribbon around each one! I also just realized I forgot to take a picture of the wreath we had hanging on the front door. My sweet, and talented, friend Griffyn made a beautiful wreath with Emery Kate's name on it!

Mackenzie, we love you so much and are bursting at the seams to meet your sweet little girl in just a few months. You are going to be such a fantastic mama and Emery Kate is going to be so loved!

We can't wait for this little pumpkin to make her grand arrival! Lucky for me, Mackenzie and her husband Sam live right around the corner from us so baby snuggles will be easy to come by!
