Trunk or Treat

Our church had their very first trunk or treat this past weekend and we had the best time participating and there was such a great turn out! Everyone's cars looked awesome and the kiddos, oh my goodness, they were all dressed so cute and so sweet when they came up saying "trunk or treat...taaaaaank you". Too cute.

We decided to be a super family and Josh, Murphy and I were all a version of Superman. We had a wonderful time dressing up and looked pretty legit if I do say so myself. I might be partial, but Murphy was the cutest kid there ;)

Speaking of Murphy, he did such a great job at the trunk or treat and he left his costume alone and didn't try to pull his cape off, ha!

We decorated our trunk with things off of our front porch (ha!) and then hit up the Dollar Tree for candy the rest of the decorations. I thought the car turned out really well and we had a lot of fun decorating.

Although we live in somewhat of a neighborhood, our neighbors are mainly older folks and last year we didn't get any trick or treaters, so I'm really glad we got to participate in Halloween with some kiddos this year. And there's something about spending a beautiful October evening having a good time with your church family that just makes you feel good!

Happy Tuesday, friends! I think I'm going to need about 6 more cups of coffee this morning to get me going ;)

  1. This is too cute! Loving the costumes and the "trunk" idea...our neighborhood doesn't get many kids either. It's more of a grad student/young couple area, but we're hoping that we'll have a few kids this year! If not, I have a lot of candy to eat :)

Your sweet comments make my day!
