Books on Books on Books

The new semester has just started for many of my college friends (most of which this is their last
semester, wahoo!!). I remember logging onto to our campus portal and pulling up my syllabus and cringing over how many books were listed under the "Required Textbook" section. Freshman year I had to make the dreaded phone call to my parents that I had just dropped $700 in the campus bookstore on books for my classes...and still hadn't bought them all yet.

Y'all, pretty sure I heard my mom faint through the phone. Haha! But really, what an enormous amount of money for books that I was just going to sell back at the end of the semester and get less than 90% of what I paid back. Needless to say, that never happened again after my first semester.

A huge resource I used throughout college was CampusBookRentals. Books on the cheap for rent? Sign me up!!! Oh and is it too late to ask if I can get my $700 back from freshman year rookie mistakes?!?

So, what's so great about CampusBookRentals? First, you can HIGHLIGHT in the books. Any excessive highlighters out there so you can remember what you read and study better? Go ahead, raise your hand, mine's in the air! How about 40-90% off bookstore prices...music to my ears!! Yours too? I thought so! FREE SHIPPING?! Yes, free shipping. Oh and the best part, they donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rental. So rent yourself a textbook and know that you are helping some very sweet child in need. Why don't you go here and read some more about Operation Smile so that you feel extra warm and fuzzy inside when you rent that textbook!

Best of all, CampusBookRentals has a new program called RentBack. This is straight from CBR

"RentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own - to other students... which is awesome because it makes them 2-4x more money compared to what they'd make through buyback options! (selling their books back at the end of the semester) Isn't that awesome?!"

Um, what?! My $700 doesn't have to go to total and complete waste?! I can rent those bad boys out?! Sign me up stat!

Now that you're nice and informed about these awesome programs, GO USE THEM!

Happy Saturday!
