Primping: Getting Ready with the girls

The girls and I got to the house around noon and started setting up little details and then hair spray, makeup, and bobby pins started flying as we got ready. They helped me unload every single box from the car and every picture frame, chalk board, sparkler, and candle that had to be set out, I'd hand to them and they'd get it all done for me. I loved being in the bridal suite surrounded by my best friends as we were laughing, crying, reminiscing and enjoying our time. Carrie Underwood's "Mama's Song" came on as soon as I started doing my hair and have mercy I lost it. Literally, just started bawling.

We took our time getting ready while there were what seemed like a million people running around getting the venue set up, people coming in and out to see me and the girls, just a lot of hustle and bustle. I kept making sure the door to the bridal suite was closed so that I stayed calm, cool and collected, haha! My bridesmaids met my EVERY need and went above and beyond to cater to me on my wedding day, they really are the greatest people, ever. They'd run out and take pictures of things as they were being set up, we'd bolt to the windows of the house and take little peeks outside as the flowers were being set up for the ceremony and giggle and laugh and jump up and down. I have the best friends, hands down. They peeked out of the windows as Josh and I did our first look and when they stepped onto the front porch of the house dressed to the nines they almost took my breath away they were all so gorgeous!

We got in a circle and held hands and they prayed over me before I headed down the aisle and for our last hoorah, we played Shania Twain's "Man, I feel like a woman" in the final minutes before we had to take our places and we literally belted it out at the top of our lungs and danced around the bridal suite. It was the most perfect moment...and we kind of sounded like a choir, haha! Those girls can saaaaang ;)

And here is my handsome, very very handsome, groom getting ready. Couldn't leave him out ;)
Up next is our first look, here's a sneak peek!

  1. Oh my WORD!!! You and your bridesmaids were all so stunning, seriously! What a fun group of friends! I love that you ladies belted out some Shania Twain! LOVE her! My MOH made us a "Wedding day playlist" and had it on her computer blasting ALL morning long. I'll never forget it :)

Your sweet comments make my day!
