As I was perusing the isles of TJ Maxx the other day I stumbled upon this little bottle of evening primrose oil.

Oddly enough, I had been researching about taking an evening primrose pill and had decided against it because I couldn't find hard and fast evidence that said that it helped your skin 100%. But I did find some studies that said it could possibly mess with your cycle and I just didn't want to go down that road. And another reason I decided not to take it was because I could not find it in stores anywhere!

I bought this little bottle of evening primrose oil by a brand called ECO.

Online it sells for $35 and I got it on clearance at TJ Maxx for $7! I am SO glad that I saw this in the store when I did, I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and the day after I started using it I immediately saw a difference in my complexion and next thing I knew my skin was starting to clear! You put it on each night after you wash (and if you tone) and before you put on your moisturizer. You use it sparingly and the little bottle, I would imagine, will last you for a very long time.

My skin has improved, is brighter and my complexion is more even after using this. I don't find products very often that I can actually see a difference in but it is a must that I brag on this one.

I think this warants a good excuse to head to TJ Maxx and see if you can score yourself a bottle...and maybe a new top...some pants...a pair a shoes...home goods....the possibilities are endless ;)

If you're in college right now, you are more than well aware of how much money textbooks cost...too much money, in my opinion! My first semester in college I went to the bookstore and came out and all I could see was a bunch of dollar signs that I just dropped on books..

Well good news, Campus Book Rentals is here to help ease the hurting on your wallet!

Not sure what Campus Book Rentals is? Let me give you a little sneak peek.

--free shipping both ways (incredible!)
---40%-90% off textbook prices
--donation to Operation Smile with each textbook rented (fantastic program!)
--flexible renting periods
--able to highlight in the books you rent

Also, they have a new program called RentBack. RentBack allows students to rent their textbooks to other students. This helps students to make 2-4 times more on their textbooks as opposed to selling them back to the bookstore! This is an awesome new program and one that every college student should take advantage of.

I know that I rented quite a textbooks over my time in college (which is quickly winding down!). So definitely check out Campus Book Rentals and RentBack, I promise you'll save yourself a ton of money!

*I was compensated by Campus Book Rentals for this post but all opinions are my own.

Happy Monday friends! It's Homecoming Week and I am very excited to participate in all that this week has to hold. It is a little bittersweet that its my last one but I fully intend to enjoy every minute.

Also, get this...3 of my 5 classes are cancelled for today. How is that for a Monday?! Wonderful!

Let's recap my weekend happenings shall we.

On Saturday Josh and I went to our wedding venue and he got to see it for the first time. It was raining and felt like -10 degrees out but it was great to be able to visit again and I was so excited to show it to Josh. We I strongly encouraged him to stand under the tree that we're getting married at and we practiced our kiss ;) I may or may not have gotten a few butterflies! We also met with our photographer and our engagements are scheduled for March 30th, I'm so excited! Amanda was so sweet and I think she is going to be great to work with. We had a nice lunch at Atlanta Bread and then finished off the day watching golf.

Our "Only 7 months to go" picture!
Sunday mom and I went to a Bridal Showcase at the fairgrounds and we had a great time looking at all the vendors but I swear if I had to eat one more piece of cake I was going to pop! There was good food and delicious cakes literally surrounding us, haha! We got so many brochures and talked to so many people, my head was spinning when we left! But we did find some good ideas for centerpieces and got registered for some prizes and found a few bakers and wedding directors to look into. I am SO glad that we had most of our big things stapled down before going to this show because I don't think I could have handled trying to find a photographer, caterer, venue, etc all at one place, so so so much to take in. I'm going to try and sift through all of the brochures we got at some point this week. I also saw a bridesmaids dress that was to die for! Can't wait to show it to the girls.

On Sunday we also bought our invitations!! Oh my goodness! I know we still have a ways to go on those but I'm so excited to have them. We also got props for our engagement pictures and favor boxes. I got to check a lot off of our wedding to-do list this weekend and it felt oh so good! Mom also gave us a gift for our honeymoon! It's a bag that has our names on it and bride and groom water bottles, so thoughtful of her! Seeing Mr. and Mrs. Colvin makes my heart skip a beat, love it!

It was a great weekend at home and my family will be here in Greenwood this weekend for homecoming! And  only 10 days until I leave for London! Look what I picked up on Friday, that's right, my cap and gown! It's very surreal having that in my possession but it feels fantastic to know I'm so close! The Grad Gala is Wednesday and I can't wait!

Another side note, it has been SO rainy, cold and flat out dreary here in SC the past week and into this week. I'm really hoping that all of this rain is an indication that we're getting it all out of the way so that by the time September rolls around it will be sun shiny and beautiful. No rain on our wedding day please! I'm itching for Spring really bad, come on warm weather!

Linking up with Carly and Molly.

Have a great week beautiful friends!

Goodness gracious alive, it is in the 40s and poruing rain here today. Just let me be a little dramatic for a second ok? I am SO over this weather! Where it Spring?! March is right around the corner and normally SC is barreling full force ahead into Spring around this time. The Today Show was in Miami today and I may or may not have almost been in tears while Flo Rida was singing and the sun was shining and the sky was blue and the ocean was in the background...but that is besides the point. Just bring me warm weather PLEASE!

Because it's dreary and gross outside, let's laugh today shall we?

Majored in princess
Yep..I'm pretty sure...
hahahaha so funny!
You mad, bro?

I hope that these brought you as many laughs as they did me!

Josh and I are taking a mini roadtrip to visit our venue tomorrow and meet with our photographer. I may be a teeny bit excited...a lot...whichever way you look at it. I can't wait! I hope you all have fabulous weekends!

You guys, I got seriously lucky for this photo shoot today. I just happened to have this outfit on when my photography class decide to go outside and shoot and I asked one of my very sweet classmates to assist me in some outfit pictures for the blog.

I bought this dress for...wait for it...FIVE DOLLARS at TJ Maxx. Steal of the day, let me tell you. The other day I had the urge to just go look around TJ Maxx and after looking for awhile I really didn't see anything that caught my eye but on my way out I saw this "Last Chance" clearance rack and this baby was on it. Love the red and love the flare in the skirt!

I also got this jacket for a whoppin...FIVE DOLLARS as well, it's from Express. So this outfit is a total of $10. Bargain shopper right here!

I love how the jacket gives this girly skirt a little bit a edge. This is my "little bit of edge, little bit of flare" outfit.

Have I told you it only cost me $10 for this whole outfit?! K, just making sure.

Here's to refusing to pay full price for anything and still finding the most darling pieces of clothing!

And here's to 7 months until the wedding!

I finally have all my girls set to be my bridesmaids! Thank goodness they said "yes"! I racked my brain over and over to think of the most perfect way to ask them to be my bridesmaids.

I searched and searched and searched and stumbled upon these really cute ornaments on Etsy. I'm pretty sure I jumped out of my chair I was so excited because ornaments were absolutely perfect to ask the girls since it was right at Christmas time. Well, instead of ordering the ornaments, because they were a wee-bit pricey, I decided to see if I could make them.

After browsing Hobby Lobby for about 2 hours and glueing, sticking, writing, tying, and getting glitter everywhere, I had my ornaments!

I was over the moon excited about these and was so excited to give them to the girls! They were incredibly easy to make and I looooove the way they turned out. I also did handmade cards and didn't order cards because I wanted to be sure that I had them in enough time to give to the girls before Christmas.

I was glad I asked them in a way that they had a keepsake. They could hang the ornament on their tree and then keep it on display the rest of the year if they choose!

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture with Jenny (Josh's sister) when I asked her, but here she is!

Another holiday was upon on us when I asked Kayla and Kellie to be my bridesmaids! And that holiday happened to be Valentines! Here is what I did to ask them. They also have a keepsake, their ring. I am just dying over how this turned out, I couldn't have asked for it to be any better!

I am SO in love with the way this turned out and so glad I could "ask them to be mine" around Valentines! Their reactions were so priceless, I wish I had it on video, cutest thing ever!

I have 6 bridesmaids-- Griffyn (MOH), Rebecca, Mackenzie, Jenny, Kayla and Kellie. Another post will be coming soon about them!

I could NOT ask for better people to stand by me on the most special day of my life. Each of these girls has such a special place in my heart, I could go on and on for days about how much I love them. The Lord blessed me with fantastic friends, I am forever grateful!

I have days sometimes when I think to myself

Is anyone reading this blog?
Is it making a difference in anyone's life?
Is my content touching someone?

Well, I've had those questions confirmed for me the past few weeks. I've been approached a few times about devotions that Josh and I have done and about encouragement through my blog. My heart did flips of happiness when I get contacted about advice and know that this blog is really making a difference and that is all because of the Good Lord.

I am so overwhelmed (in a good way) that people can find refuge in my blog and a place to come and be encouraged. I hope that this blog will always be that way and I hope that God will continue to use me for His good and to help His people. What a marvelous thought that is! When I first was asked about something religious that someone saw on my blog I immediately stopped and said a prayer of praise to God, because without Him, I would never be able to find the words to say and publish on this little space of the web.

If at any point I can pray for you in anyway, send you a personal word of encouragement, give you advice on anything that you've seen me talk about on the blog, or anything in between. Reach out and let me know! I would love to pray and converse with you!

As y'all know, one of my new years resolutions is to have a more compassionate heart and mind this year and I really believe the Lord is helping me to do that.

I hope that Every Day Life is a place that you can come, enjoy your readings, enjoy the pictures, enjoy my shannanigans, and most importantly be encouraged and be loved.

Well friends, I am back from my last Sigma trip. Funny thing how time comes and goes so quickly. Spring Retreat was this past weekend and it was such a good time!

We went to Asbury Hills which is a Methodist camp up in the mountains of South Carolina and lo and behold it snowed while we were there! The Lord definitely blessed us, God is good! It literally snowed so much, we played in it, went on a hike and just enjoyed it. Then we came back to the cabin, took a (fabulous) nap and we woke up and the snow was gone! Which was a good thing because we didn't want it to stick and prevent us from getting home the next day!

We played a blind makeup game and it was hilarious! We took turns putting each others makeup on blindfolded, so funny! We also played some minute to win it games and did a fashion show with wrapping paper outfits! (Those are great games for groups of girls, by the way!)

We lined up a speaker last minute and she was fantastic! She talked to us about "What to Wear" as far as putting on the armor of Christ and being clothed spiritually, I so enjoyed her speaking!

On Friday a few of us went up early to decorate the cabin for the girls and we also decorated our meeting room. We made them Valentines and princess goodie bags!

Over the weekend we ate some good food, praised the Lord, sang worship songs, went hiking and on adventures, watched movies, took naps and had great bonding time. It was a wonderful last sorority trip and I am so thankful God has blessed Sigma so much, He is so faithful!

I'll let the pictures from the weekend do the rest of the talking!

To my Dearest Mackenzie,
As sad as I am that this was our last Sigma retreat to plan together, I have enjoyed every moment of these last 3 years with you. God truly sent me a blessing when He brought our friendship together. You are such a woman of God and you inspire me to be a better person everyday. You have turned Sigma into a beautiful thing and you are so hard work and I appreciate all that you have done for the sorority over the past 2 years. You are such a special person and have such a special place in my heart. Love you Kenz!

To my Sigma sisters,
Each one of you make this sorority what it is. God has placed all of us here for a very important reason and I am so blessed to have met all of you through Sigma over the past 3 years. You are all so sweet and bring something so different and unique to the table which makes this sorority a fantastic one. I know that God is going to continue to bless Sigma and touch each of your lives. I am so thankful for each one of you and you are all such special, beautiful women!

Here's to a great week, my friends. Hugs and Kisses!

My BRIDESMAIDS will be hitting the blog this week and I promise you don't want to miss it!
