Mothers

Mine wins as the best...most of the time...haha kidding...sorry everyone but she is the #1 Mom, legit.

I live a busy life...a real busy life. Here's the run down:
22 school hours
Resident Assistant
Presidential Ambassador
GLPA Student worker
Orientation leader
sorority chaplain

...just to name a few. My life is crazy, all of the time. I never stop going and I got this card in the mail today from mom, it said:

"Life is hard sometimes-- crazy, mixed-up, messed up. And there you are, in the middle of it all, just doing your thing...being strong and brave and beautiful like it's no big deal. But let me tell you, girl, it is. Not everyone can do what you can do. Not everyone can handle things the way you can. While you wonder sometimes if you're doing ok....the rest of us are just watching in wonder."

*I didn't feel like getting my camera out, so excuse the webcam pics*

The girl on the card even has brown hair...and look at that stylish outfit. You have a good eye, Mom.

I was walking back to my room from the post office reading this and tears were in my eyes. No card...NONE, has ever touched me the way this one has (and I've gotten some pretty stellar cards in my life). Mom found just the right things to say and the right things that I needed to hear in this card.

Are mom's not the best? Who's with me on that one?

I take on all of my activities by my own will...I gave myself 22 hours and I applied for every job without pressure from anyone else. So I never want to complain or mope around because of all that I have going on. I am beyond blessed to have all these opportunities in my life.
And although my sanity is on the line most of the time and I'm so exhausted I don't know if I'll make it through my days...I'm so thankful that I have jobs to support myself, organizations that I can make an impact on and most importantly, family and friends that give me the best support, much more than I could ever ask for.

Thank you Mama, you really don't know how much this card touched my heart.

And while we're on parents...it's this guys birthday today

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!
If you ask him, he'll tell you he's still 36 but he hit the big 5-3 this year and I pray that he has 53 more years of life ahead of him. This man is the best, hands down.

I live in a house with 2 fabulous people.
