Thursday Thoughts

Hello beautiful bloggers, I hope that YOU are having a beautiful Thursday! As usual, I'm celebrating this Thursday because it is almost Friday, hooooray! On Saturday I am headed to the University of Georgia for a collegiate Leadership Conference with 4 other students from school and I am super excited. As I've stated before, a man had to have planned this event, the weekend of Valentines, really?! But anyway, I'll probably continue to whine about that until Saturday but regardless of the day I'm really excited and I hope to learn a ton of great things about how to a better leader and hopefully meet some wonderful people as well!

It's time for my sorority to start a new devotion/study and Mackenzie (our president) felt that God laid on her heart that we should do a study on relationships and what the Bible says about marriage. When I got her text I was SO on board, I think it is a great idea and very relevant to the girls in the sorority. I would venture to say that half are single and half are in relationships so we're going to split up and Mackenzie will be leading the single group and I will be leading the girls that are in relationships. I am super pumped and super nervous all at the same time. I think that this study is going to require a lot of studying and preparing on my part and I think it will help me evaluate Josh and I's relationship...what we are doing right and what we can improve on. I really hope that the girls enjoy this study and I hope that all of us really learn a lot. If any of you have done a study on this and know of any good books or Bible verses PLEASE leave me a comment or email and let me know! I would greatly appreciate it in my preparing for the coming weeks! :) I know that God will lead me in the right direction and I will speak the words that He would have me to say. I think it is SO important to be in a healthy, God-filled relationship and I am so excited to share with the girls what the Bible has to say about relationships! (Josh is so wonderful and always prays with me and for me and he actually bought me and him a devotion to do on my birthday the first year that we were together, which really surprised me but in the best way possible, so he has given me a lot of great insight into how a Godly man should be so that I can share with the girls, thanks babe, you da best ! We are by no means perfect but he is a good role model and a good example of how to treat a woman and I know that we will learn a lot from this study to strengthen our relationship as well)

I have so much laundry to do this weekend, it's kind of ridiculous. And I have to film a news package for my Advanced TV class....which by the way, I got to anchor the news the other day. It was so exciting! Our news station is not only on campus, but the community news station as well. Here is a picture of me on TV, I was a tad excited, LOL!

I also have to make a Wal-Mart run this weekend, I'm in desperate need of mascara, eye liner and milk...what an odd combo. Speaking of milk, mine wasn't supposed to go bad until Sunday and I went to pour it in my cereal yesterday morning and it was SO spoiled, the smell was horrific. Anyways, enough of my randomness for the day, I do apologize.

Here's an update to the Photo-a-Day Challenge:
Day 7: Button
My little in my sorority made this for me, all out of  buttons!
Day 8: Sun
Day 9: Front Door

Tomorrow I'm going to do an outfit post, be sure to check back!

  1. You are so cute! I'm excited that your sorority will be doing that study- and I love the decorations on your door!

  2. I love these!!! And congrats about being on TV!!! :D

  3. How awesome that God will be using you in that way while you guys do a study =)
Nothing immediately comes to mind on studies to do with dating, etc as there are so many different opinions on christian dating, courtship, etc.....some awesome wisdom can be gained from Eric & Leslie Ludy's books if you havn't read those and even from joshua harris. Some of the content you may not agree with as well.
But they are pretty scripture-based and wise. I love the wisdom I gained from them =.
    Hope all goes well =)
    Much Love,

  4. Thats a really cute button frame! Cute craft idea! And so cool for being on TV- awesome!

I'm so glad I started. Forever changed. I wish my sorority would have done a relationship study. Good Luck Ladies! I love it! Keep us updated on the revelations!
